Why I like being an early bird

Good morning!
Along with my first smoothie this morning I thought to tell you why I like being an early bird.

There’s nothing more beautiful than the sunrise (I captured the view from my window for you, isn’t it pretty?). I love to have a lot of time for coffee, tea, a smoothie and a big breakfast. I love taking my time or even reading while eating my breakfast. If I got up late, I wouldn’t have time for that. I always have a lot to do and the longer the day, the better. I love to have cozy evenings for myself, but if I sleep in, I don’t have time for that. The best thing ever is to get things done in the mornings and have free time in the afternoon. I love doing sports during sunlight, and now in fall one just has to get up early for that. Especially if you’re like me and need a few hours to get in form before you can work out! The earlier I get up, the more motivated I’m for the day – if I sleep in, I feel like I won’t have time to achieve anything anymore anyways. Oh and the morning program on the radio is always good and I wouldn’t want to miss it.

And I love seeing the first rays of sunshine – they’re just so motivating.

What about you? Do you like to get up early and get things done, or do you prefer sleeping in? For me it’s really uncommon to sleep in, I only do so if I haven’t had much sleep during the last days.

And now I wish you a beautiful morning and a good start into a new day!

  1. Unfortunately, being an early bird isn’t really a choice for me: I have such a long commute that I have to get up really early (like 5:15) to be on time at the office. Though I do prefer doing things in the morning, it’s just hard from time to time ^^ And since I never go to bed early enough, I end up very sleep-deprived at the end of the week and more often than not I sleep late and take naps on the weekend!

Oh that’s too bad. What about the weekends then? Hope you can enjoy your free mornings then?
