What was, what is, what comes next?

I don’t post these life updates very often, because I want my blog be more of an inspiration page on living your dreams, on loving your life (through a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle) and on finding happiness through the little things, but now it’s time to tell you what’s going on in my life right now and furthermore reveal a secret that I have been working on. Plus, I actually have to say that this does go quite well with the dream-conquering topic. So maybe this suits my blog after all! :)

11. What was?
Many have been asking me why I spent the last few months in Wroclaw, Poland. Well, I’ll tell you. It was because my dad worked there for the last three years, but moved back to Finland now due to his new work contract. My sister Lili couldn’t move yet though, because she had school until July! As I already finished my studies end of April, it all fit perfectly and I came to Poland to live with my sister, while my parents were already back in Finland, working in their new jobs. I on the other hand got to try out my first two months as a full-time blogger safe and sound from home.

52. What is now?
Right now I’m writing from Mäntyharju in Finland. I’m at our lake house for 10 days now for a short summer break. Lake house means a small wooden cottage, water from the quell, no shower, no proper bathroom, no dish washer. Since last year we have some electricity for lights though, which feels pretty modern already. What we do all day? Sit outside, read books, go to the sauna, swim (for hours!), fry marshmallows in the open fire, talk, play card games… there’s nothing better to take one’s mind off stressy things! And I have my family back too (at least on the weekends) and I hadn’t seen my mum since Christmas!

23. What comes next?
Oh goodness, this is so exciting! I have not been telling you about this, because I have been so afraid that I will back off at some point after all and not go through with this plan. But this morning I booked the accommodation, last week I paid already and now only the flights are missing so by now I’m quite sure that I will go through with it. Which means that I can finally tell you about it now! I am going to London for a summer course at my absolute dream university Central Saint Martins by University of the Arts London (read more about it on my Bucket List)! For a month! I will be living in a student flat for art students in Finsbury Park and I’ll already be there in a week! I am extremely nervous but I’m sure it will be amazing too!

Do you have something, that you’re extremely looking forward to this summer?

Whenever I know of someone coming to England I always recommend York because it’s just the most English of places. Plus there is the street called The Shambles, which has been voted the most beautiful street in the UK and you totally feel like you’ve gone back in time when you go down there. My city (Hull) is about 3-3.5hrs on train from London and York is 1hr further north, but it’s a big railway hub so many trains pass through from London to Edinburgh, etc. I think I always have my next trip there planned; one of my best friends lives in Manchester (also worth a visit) and so York is about half way between us, so we meet there. I also love York because they have a candy shop that sells international brands, so I can keep stocked up with Fazer, and they also have most varieties of salmiakki! I know London can easily keep you busy but there are so many nice places to visit over here. Brighton isn’t very far and is really fun. Our trains aren’t as good as some places (it can be expensive and very unreliable) but England is small enough that you can visit places easily using trains. I feel like a tour guide but I’m happy to help in any way I can 😉 I’ve travelled around here a lot and know it well!

I hope you enjoy your time at the university! Even though I live in England, I don’t go to London very often because it’s like a 3 hour long journey!

Hey! Thank you for your comment! Where in England do you live then? A place worth a visit? 😉

I’m *so* excited for you! Onnea! I hope you enjoy London. One of my bucket list things is to do the summer school at the university of Helsinki 😉 If you want any tips for travelling further north in England, let me know! You *must* try and make it up as far as the amazingly beautiful York.

I’m sure it’ll be a wonderful next chapter for you. What will you be studying?

Oh thank you so much dear Charlotte! York sounds so nice (I just googled it!), I will definitely let you know if I come up. How far from London is it?
I will be studying Graphic Design, hoping to make a portfolio for further applications :)
Thank you so much for all your support!
