Hey lovely people!
One of the most common questions, that you keep asking over and over again, I what and how I eat. Am I vegan, am I vegetarian, do I diet, do I eat carbs and refined sugar, what do I eat for a fit body?
Well, I have one strong opinion when it comes to food: all food is made to be eaten. What means that I do not not eat anything, but eat everything!
Of course I take care and make sure that the food I eat is mostly healthy, but the best thing about it is, that this is how I like it best!. I follow a mainly plant-based diet, because that’s what makes me feel best. When I eat vegan (or vegetarian, I do have eggs sometimes!) food, I never feel too full which I find uncomfortable. Furthermore I try to eat as plant-based and local as I can, because it’s best for the environment. That’s also the reason why I’m not too eager about most superfoods, as they come from the other side of the world, and I’m absolutely sure that we can find something just as good from somewhere much closer.
But even though I like to eat a lot of veggies, that doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t touch the rest. I love salad with chicken breast, I love my dad’s smoked salmon, I love pork filets. I eat these very rarely, but now and then I do. I believe in balance.
But one thing that I don’t believe in are diets. Diets create stress, increase cravings and binges, slow down your metabolism. This is a topic that I’m going to write about a lot more in the future, because day to day I have to listen to my colleagues talking about not eating sugar until christmas, about not touching carbs, about bananas making you fat. And that is even though we just had a nutritionist visiting our company! But as I said, more about that later.
I eat when I’m hungry, I eat what I want and also what I crave for. Since I’ve started getting into the health and nutrition topics, I mostly eat healthy things. But now and then I like to have pizza with my sister or cocktails with my boyfriend, and then I really do enjoy those. That’s definitely something we need from time to time, right?
Please feel free to post all your questions on nutrition down below in the comments and I’ll dig into them and tell you what I think! And I hope that you are in peace with yourself and what you eat and don’t restrict yourself from anything. You will find tipps for healthy eating here, but believe me, restriction or diets will never be a topic!
