I love to cook my oatmeal on the stove (so much better than microwave oats!) but on days when I travel early (especially on Monday mornings when I go back to uni after the weekend) I don’t have much time for that. If you know me, you’ll know that I love to get up really early and have a big breakfast on weekdays but on Mondays after the weekend that would mean that I would have to get up at 4, and that’s a bit too early after all. The oh-so-genius solution is called Overnight Oats!
Overnight oats are the solution for all early birds because they will be in the fridge awaiting you when you get up. And they are so easy to make. Actually they make themselves, it’s magic. You just put everything together at night and in the morning you’ll have a wonderfully creamy breaky![vls_gf_album id=”2832″]
2 cups soy or oat milk
1 tbsp chia seeds
sweetener (I use stevia drops, but honey, agave or maple syrup work as well)
