Today is Christmas, the day of love. Which I want to take as an opportunity to make a love declaration myself.
I love you. All of you. So much. Yesterday I got very emotional on Snapchat, going through all your Christmas cards, that you guys sent me this year. There must be over 50 by now, and every single one made me so glad! I can’t believe how kind you possibly are! Tonight we’re going to take them out and read them all with my family. ❤️
All your support every day makes me so happy. Having moved around very much, and having always been different from my classmates, I never had too many friends. But now I have you to talk to. I love all our discussions on Snapchat. Your opinions in the blog comments. Snaps, when you share your happy moments with me. Your kind words underneath my Instagram pictures. There are some girls out there that I talk to much more than to people that I actually know. I would have never thought that social media, my stupid little phone, would make these kinds of friendships possible.
You accept me 100% the way I am. I can’t believe that some of you actually think I’m kind of cool! 🙈 I never thought that I’d ever find people who do that.
I’m not a big blogger. I don’t have a massive number of readers. I used to worry so much about what I’m doing wrong… but now I don’t mind anymore. Every single one of you is worth so much more than a hundred nameless faces. You are not my “followers”. You are my friends, I have a bond with you and I share way more secrets with you, than with my actual “friends”.
I love you all so much. Happy Christmas. You, the kind souls out there, deserve it so much.
I already have a #BLOGMAS post up for the 24th (here), but I want to write some more Christmas cards tomorrow, when I have time to sit down. Please comment below, and I will choose ten of you to send some more Christmas spirit to.
I will switch off my phone and laptop now for the rest of the day. This day will be dedicated to other very important people in my life: my family, and myself too. After reading this post (and commenting, if you want a card! ), I recommend you to do the same. Take some time for your loved ones, and them only. And treat yourself. Read a book, watch a film, and forget the online world. As wonderful as it is, going offline is important too.
I love you so much. Merry Christmas.
Every day until 30.12. a giveaway will be posted on one of my channels (usually my blog, but also Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat or YouTube). You can enter by commenting on the post in English, German or Finnish. The winner for this giveaway will be chosen on 25.12., at 10:00, and will be mentioned in this post. You need to check it again to find out who won.
