Today I’m sharing the most amazing Christmassy snack with you: my Gingerbread Smoothie! It is healthy, it is filling and it tastes of all the Christmas spices! Can’t go wrong with that! During this time of the year I love to make everything taste Christmassy. Quark with dried plums and cinnamon is one of my favourite post-workout snacks. Today I had this whilst writing my Christmas cards and listening to Michael Bublé’s Christmas album and I felt so festive!
And soon you can make them too, as I’m giving away the same blender that I have!
1-2 frozen bananas (peeled, chopped and frozen overnight)
1 small (or 1/2 big) carrot
1 cup plant milk (I use oat milk)
3 tbsp oats
1 tbsp peanut butter
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp gingerbread spice
chia seeds (optional)
Place all the ingredients in your blender and mix. If you added chia seeds, let the smoothie stand and swell for a few minutes. Garnish with more nuts, seeds and berries. If you like, you can add more spices of course. And then enjoy your christmassy gingerbread smoothie!
For #BLOGMAS day 14 you can win the 1,5 litre ice-crushing Blender by Amazon Basics! I hope it’s okay if I make the giveaway a little bit harder, as the prize is a bit bigger too! For this #BLOGMAS giveaway you have to post a Christmassy food picture on Instagram using @veryberrylottie and the hashtag #veryberryblogmas in the caption! The recipe can be inspired by mine, but doesn’t have to. Only new entries (dated 14.12. or later!) count! I will feature my favourites on Instagram and the winner will be drawn and announced here on Saturday evening!
The blender goes to Carina, who made this INCREDIBLE recreation of my gingerbread smoothie (here!). Congratulations! Please email me address at your email@example.com
