Well, to be honest, I’ve never written my exercises into a workout log. By now I know my weights really well and adjust them according to how I feel. Yet, you keep asking me about my workout routine, so here comes a little workout diary for you![line]
Monday: biceps, abs (front and sides), back
Tuesday: legs, butt
Wednesday: crossfit 1h
Thursday: triceps, shoulders, breast
Friday: crossfit 1h
Sunday: run, 5-12k depending on how I feel
I always do 3-4 exercises for each muscle group, three times 12 reps. That way one workout session takes either 60. 75 or 90 minutes. Right now I’m absolutely in love with Fustra. Those are workout devices on which your lift your own body weight in addition to the regular weights – amazing! Additionally to my gym workouts I ride my bike to uni and back during the week, which makes 16km a day, and I warm up by running for 5 minutes on the treadmill. That’s it!
But of course my workout routines change from time to time too. And of course there are days when I don’t manage to work out due to big piles of homework or travels (like yesterday). Five times a week is what I try to manage every week. But my workouts differ due to my mood or the seasons as well. Sometimes I go to body pump instead of crossfit. In summer I run more and do more functional training because I know how well it shapes my body.
But all in all I want to stress that this is a lot of sports and that it’s only my current life situation that allows me to live this way. I live on my own and don’t have many friends that I could meet and have the time to do sports. And I’m at a point at which I really enjoy working out – if I didn’t I’d never push me to do all this!
