Berlin, here I come!

Hi lovelies!
What motivates me? What makes me go on and on an always give my best in life, my studies, in sports? My answer is: goals. And my next goal has been decided.

I was at uni on the way to lunch, when my phone rang. It was Simo from PWT Urheilumatkat, that’s how he introduced himself. “Lottie, we’d like to work with you.”, he said – and I didn’t know if I should sing, jump or cry of joy!

Remember? A few weeks ago I had already talked about maybe running the Berlin Half Marathon next spring. Some of my biggest sports idols from Instagram will be there and travelling for my runs has always been a dream of mine!

And then I got this call and it changed so many things. I’m so excited!! It upgraded so many important aspects in my life to a whole new level – my runs, my blog, my goals. Because I will be there. I will be running the 36. Berlin Half Marathon in spring 2016. Sponsored by PWT Urheilumatkat. And it does’t only give me the chance to travel, to get to know a new city and to meet amazing bloggers. No. Most of all, it motivates me.

I’m quite sure that this will be the first winter during which I will continue running. I never ever got myself to go out in the cold, or even run in rain or when the streets were covered in mushy wet snow. And now I already know, that this year I’ll manage! Because now running for me is not only jogging easily through the nearby forest. From now on I will TRAVEL FOR my runs! This feeling is crazy and I can barely wait. Nor for April, neither for all the runs until I’ll board the plane. Believe me, training is so much easier, when you’re training for a goal. And that goal is clear now.

“When submitting this, you’ll bindingly sign up for the 36. Berlin Half Marathon on April 3rd, 2016.” Click. Count me in!

In big anticipation,

P.S.: WHO IS JOINING ME? If you come from Finland, you could sign up too, and we’d travel, live and eat together – how motivating would that be? Could there be any better christmas present for yourself?

Ich war noch nie in Berlin - und jetzt werde ich beim Laufen alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sehen! Yay!

I’ve never been to Berlin – and now I’ll see all the sightseeing spots during my run!

I just wrote a half-page long comment and it didn´t publish, UGH.

I am still trying to figure out whether I will be able to run the half marathon or not, I am far from a 10 minute mile now, but none of my runs was in perfect health condition yet. Decision decision :(

Hey Susanne! I’d love you to come! My aim is to make the finish line, no time, nothing else. So you don’t have to be really fast either! AND you still have 5 months to go! Last time I only trained for 1 month and I still did really well 😉 At least it’s a super good motivation to keep training! So if I were you, I’d sign up, keep going and then show yourself that you can do it!
