Apple pie oatmeal

Heyho!

Here comes my current favourite breakfast! I have grown up eating oatmeal every single day, and during the last two years I’ve become a bit more adventurous when it comes to my breakfasts (thank you instagram!). I usually use seasonal fruit or frozen berries, and then lots of spices, because the more spices you use, the less sweetener you need! :)

And because I love everything christmassy, my current favourite breakfast is a christmas themed one: apple pie oatmeal!

Ingredients:

1,5 mugΒ water
30g (about one cup) oats
1Β small apple
raisins
chopped hazelnuts and/or almonds
some salt
cinnamon, cloves and cardamom
some sweetener

How to:

Chop the apple into little pieces and put it into the pot with some water. Simmer for a few minutes. Then add the rest of the water, the raisins and the oats and let it cook at 3/4 heat for a while. Remember to stir the oatmeal so it won’t burn. Then add the salt and the spices – you can take as much cinnamon as you like, but be careful with the others! I then added a little coffee sweetener pill, which was absolutely enough as the raisins and the apples are sweet enough already! Voila!
